Story Review_It Used To Be Green Once
The story (It Used To Be Green Once) was written by Patricia Grace. This is a fiction recount. This story is about how a mom shamed and humiliated her kids. Their mom would cut a swimming tog in half and give the top half to the girl and the bottom half to the boy. Each Wednesday she would go shopping and toot her horn while driving to call her neighbours to not what they need. I liked reading this story because these events were very describable the gave me an outlook of the show don’t tell. A message that I discovered from this story is “Life isn’t always what you expect it to be”. I believe that the male author called Witi Ihimaera would preferably want to read this story, he is 75 years old.

Scientist Have Discovered a New Tyrannosaur!
Scientists have obtained evidence
of a different Tyrannosaur in Mexico,
US.
This Tyrannosaur is called Suskityrannus Hazelae, this Tyrannosaur
is about 1 meter high at the hip and
was probably no longer than 3 meters
lengthy.
Suskityrannus Hazelae lived earlier in time about 92 million years
ago, compared with 8066 million
years ago when the biggest Tyrannosaurs existed.
The study of Suskityrannus Hazelae can be located in the journal Nature Ecology and Evolution.
The lead author noted on the paper, discovered a number of bones
that were used at the confirmation while partaking on a dig expedition
in New Mexico’s Zuni Basin.
Knowing these bones has been a
significant piece of his palaeontology
occupation ever since.

My Reflection From Textiles.
A few weeks into term 1 we focused on how to thread the sewing machine and the different types of fabric. Later on, we learned how to sew using a sewing machine. Then we cut out the fabric by 15 inches by 15 inches. On the fabric, we drew an outline of a square by 14 inches by 14 inches, we drew this box to plan where we are going to sew. We then practiced how to sew straight and diagonal on a sheet of paper, after sewing on the sheet of paper we had to show it to Ms. Tuipulotu to check if we knew how to sew properly if she said yes then we could go sew our fabric for the cushion.
During the two weeks of sewing the fabric for the cushion. After sewing, I stuffed my fabric with the wool. After filling my piece of fabric with wool, I came back the next week and sew the hole at the top of the cushion.

Compass directions on a map.
This term our inquiry is "I like you latitude". We learn't about the compass directions. We had to look at the map of New Zealand and compare different places using the compass directions. For example: Point England School is on the east side of Auckland.
W.A.L.T: use compass directions to describe the location.
