WALT: infer meaning from a text.
Today we read The Quest by Leith Cooper. In it an old man was watching a football game. He ate an apple but his false teeth stayed stuck in it and he threw it away. He noticed his teeth were gone so he looked for it, but suddenly he was caught up in the crowds drama being played in front of him. When the last whistle blew the home town fans ran out celebrating. He heard a clatter from the beer can and he remembered his task. He kicked a half eaten apple and there laid his teeth, he picked it up and carried on.
I remember this story from when I was in school! The plot twist at the end is so good. I like stories that have surprises, or something funny and unexpected at the end. You've shown some good understanding here. Kia mau Pauline, keep up the good work
